Chicago land had 8-12 inches of snowfall today, people are busy out cleaning the driveways and walkways, lifting heavy snow. Long commute, too many accidents along the roads. The white snow shines in the light. While lifting the showel, felt the weight of the wet snow. Do you know how much the snow could weigh? The density of snow varies a lot. Lightly packed snowy powder weighs very little per cubic foot, where as slushy, wet snow can weigh over 20 pounds per cubic foot. Where are the store houses of snow up there? How are they kept? How does the Almighty send this down? Who are his agents? What does the Scripture (Bible) talk about the snow? Snow falls by the command of the LORD – Job 37:6, Psalm 148:8, Lord speaks and snow falls. God has storehouses of snow – Job 38:22, LORD questions Job to answer, have you entered the store houses of snow? The purpose of sending the snow is to water the earth
1. Snow is white. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7.
All are stained by sin. Stained our thoughts, garments, attitudes, behavior and utterly spoiled us, made us unable to enter Gods presence and have communion with Him.
God did not leave us in the dirty state, he loved us so much. Gods love is expressed in Grace. God sent his son to rescue this dirty, spoiled people. As bible says, Christ died for us while we were yet sinners - Romans 5:8. God invites each of us to come to him through Christ Jesus that though, our sin is like scarlet red, he can make us white as snow.
"Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. - Isaiah 1:18.
Do you see yourself stained by sin, in your thought, word or and deed. Then come to the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone can cleanse your sin, and make you white as snow. I have asked him to do that in my life. How can our sins be forgiven? Great question! Should we visit few holy places or should we give some to charity? How? The scripture clearly says we cannot be saved by any other means except by the name of Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 10:13 says, "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." and also, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness - I John 1:9. So you can be cleansed by a prayer of confession with a repentant heart knowing that Christ Jesus alone can cleanse your sin. We are saved grace through faith – Ephesians 2:7, Just believe that Christ died for your sins on the cross, and cry out with a repentant heart.
2. Isaiah 55:10-11: For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
God send snow to water the earth and prepare the ground for the seed. It is the sower, who sows the seed, but God alone prepare the ground for the harvest. God gives the harvest, what we enjoy in life is God given, he makes the plants to grow. Psalm 147 is good picture of Gods provision. The snow sent from heaven accomplishes the purposes of water and preparing the ground, and is the Word of the Lord compared to it. It does its work and brings forth the fruit. God is sending the snow on the earth and word of God in your life, the hearts compared to the ground in Matthew 13 are prepared, but the questions are we bringing forth the fruit for the Lord.
3. Brightness of snow – Compared to the glory of the Lord. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow – Mathew 28:3. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. – Revelation 1:14.
The appearance of the Lord is white as snow. Lords garment is as white as snow and his hair is as white as snow. This depicts the future glory that a believer in Christ would have. Now we our appearance is corruptible, we have to keep it up and mask it with different cosmetics and work on it. This is a corruptible body, our current appearance is not perfect, but not so in Glory we will be like Jesus – I John 3:2 - but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. When we are with the Lord out appearance will be glorious like Lord Jesus. One of the disciple of the Lord, John saw the risen Lord in the island of patmos – Rev 1:14, the three disciples got a glimpse of the glorious Lord on the mount of transfiguration. Apostle paul says in I Corinthians 15, the perishable will put on imperishable, mortal will put on immortality.
Do you have the assurance that you will be with the Lord forever, if not you pray the prayer of confession and believe in your heart that Christ Jesus died for your sins.
In Christ

God is the Greatest Thinker.
Thoughts of God..
Omniscient God who created everything that exists, is the ultimate thinker, designer and creator of every thing, the solar systems, galaxies, human, plant and animal world. He is not only the creator but holding everything by his infinite wisdom, providing, caring and sustainer for his ultimate glory. As I meditate upon the thoughts of God, my mind starts to spin, my finite mind cannot comprehend the depth, height or the expanse of awesome thoughts of God, then I opened my Bible to reflect of his thoughts. Writing this fully knowing my limitations and finiteness before the infinitely holy, powerful, wise and loving God, not that I already know or understand completely about the thoughts of God, but as the Holy Spirit revealed to me, here are few nuggets to chew...
God Thoughts are
1. Innumerable - Psalm 40:5, Psalm 139:18.
You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told. (Psalm40:5 - ESV). If I would count them, they are more than the sand. (Psalm 139:18- ESV).
Our God is the greatest thinker. God thoughts are innumerable, thoughts if you tell, no time or space could contain or would be enough to document them. So great are HIS thoughts. Even before the world and even you and me came into being, we existed in God's thought, meaning God thought about each and every being. His foreknowledge is beyond our comprehension, that kind of knowledge is too much for a finite mind to grapple with or contain. There are great thinkers in this world and shallow thinkers. Every man thinks, there is no man who does not think. We think because we are made in the image of the God who is a thinker. By creative thinking we show forth the fingerprints of our maker in our lives. People can think, but there is limit to what a man can think and apply, we may think many thoughts, but we do not have the power, resources or ability to bring those thoughts to fruition. But God who is omnipotent is able to bring his thought, into fruition (Rom 4:20,21). Psalmist David thinking on the thoughts of God, is filled with awe and says they are more than that can be told and he even says they are more than sand. Can the sand on the earth be ever counted? So many are the thoughts of God.
2. Precious: Psalm 139:17.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! (Psalm 139:17- ESV).
David is saying the thoughts are God are precious to him, because they are very precious thoughts. Thoughts of God are really precious, valuable, so to be cherished. Every believer in Christ has to learn to cherish the thoughts of God towards him like David. God's thought toward me are so precious, that He gave his son Christ Jesus (who is the Father delight). So precious to Him he did not go back to give that precious son for my sake. His thoughts are precious because He thought about me and you and cannot see to leave us in sin, so he sent his precious son. The precious son Christ Jesus had precious thoughts about me and you that he shed his precious blood to redeem me (I Pet 1:17-19). His thoughts are so precious when spoken became the precious promises (2 Pet. 1:4) through whom we become partakers of divine nature. His precious thoughts, precious blood of Jesus and precious promises are for us.
3. Deep. Psalm 92:5.
How great are your works, O LORD!Your thoughts are very deep! (Psalm 92:5 - ESV).
God's thoughts are very deep. There are deep thinkers and shallow thinkers.Deep thinking is the one which takes the thought to its very end, so there is no more avenue or untouched area any more to explore.Thoughts are deep as the person, depth of Godhead is great. In the depths of the earth are the Gold mines. In the depths of sea are pearls, diamonds and precious stones. So also the treasure of God are in his depth. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgements and how inscrutable are his ways.(Rom. 11:33 -ESV). In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3 - ESV). So for a believer are the treasure of God's riches of wisdom and knowledge in the depth of his thought.
God says in Micah 4:12, "But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD;they do not understand his plan."Every believer should hear and know the thoughts of God for himself. Then the great question is How can I know thoughts of God?
But, as it is written,"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him". these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. (I Cor. 2:9-12 - ESV).
Only the spirit of person can know his thoughts, no other person, but God has not left us helpless, the very moment we repent of our sin and believe in Christ Jesus as the propetitiation for our sin, we receive the gift of Holy Spirit to dwell in us forever (Acts 2:38,Eph . 1:13). Since we have the Spirit of God dwell within us, we can know the thoughts of God. Holy Spirit speaks I Cor 13:2,Acts 8:29,Acts 10:19. We can know the thoughts of God towards us the Holy Spirit reveals them to us.
Are you listening to Holy Spirit?
4. High. Isaiah 55:8,9.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 - ESV).
God who dwells in high and loftly places (Isa. 57:15), thinks higher thoughts. Heaven is his throne, and earth his footstool. Height of thought is as high as the heavens above the earth, so great in height is his steadfast love(Ps. 103:11). The contrast of God's thoughts and mans thoughts, man thoughts are vanity and futile (Ps. 94:11) and God's thoughts are innumerable, precious, deep and high. Man is made out of the dust of the earth, a product of the earth, so is his thought and ways, earthly, lowly, small, not high, are his thoughts. There is a vast expanse of gap between the thoughts of God and man, the distance between the heaven and earth.
5. Peace and Future. Jeremiah 29:11.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer. 29:11 - ESV).
KJV translation replaces the word plans with thoughts, the thoughts of God are peaceful thoughts, to give rest and peace to his people. Man became restless in the Garden of Eden when he sinned, the restless soul find rest only in the savior Christ Jesus (Mt 11:28).
The promise of rest is in Christ alone. Soul that has not found Christ thirst, runs, longs for satisfaction, belonging and peace. Isreal did not have rest or peace while they sinned and are taken as captive to Babylon, so God is thinking thoughts of peace and promising peace and plan for future while Isreal is in captivity. God has thoughts about our deliverance from the enemy, from the captivity and to bring us to freedom that is only in God through Christ.
Come to Christ Jesus know his thoughts, confess your sins and enter the rest, peace that God has promised to man through Jesus and Jesus the Lord alone....
May the Lord use these thoughts for his glory and edification of his saints.

3. Christs perspecitive of all your works. (Like Saul hurting Church - hurting Christ).
4. Mission is clarified by Christ himself.
Have you been on your road to damascus. It is my prayer for the church in 21st century to experience and walk in the light of heaven.
